The Polcraft Inspection Room is temperature controlled and is home to some of the most advanced inspection techniques available. We have a full time inspector and the equipment to measure anything we can build with great accuracy.

We have a Mitutoyo Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) equiped with Soft-mike software and interface. The CMM is capable of measuring complex shapes and contours with very high accuracy using a Ruby touch probe.

We have a Deltronic optical comparator equiped with a fibre-optic edge finder and both 20X and 50X Lenses. The Optical Comparator can measure very intricate shapes without any physical contact therefore eliminating error due to deflection. The edge finder reads the magnified contour off the screen and can calculate distances and radii very accurately.

In addition to these tools we have a 4X6 foot granite plate and lots of precisely calibrated instruments, pins, and gages to measure parts with.

The bottom line is, "If we can build it, We can verify it!"
